3 Credits This course examines the history, traditions and philosophy of the American court system. Emphasis will be placed on the roles of the prosecutor, the judge, the defense attorney, the jurors, the defendants and the public. The course will focus on the general themes of law on the books, law in action and law in controversy. Course content will include an overview of the structure and operations of the court system with special emphasis on the Florida Court System.
