3 Credits Covers the basic principles of drawing tangibles such as still life, landscape and the nude figure. The course deals with black and white media such as pencil and charcoal. The class topics include composition, line, value, volume, negative space, directional forces, perspective and proportion. Drawing I is recommended before taking upper level courses: painting, computer graphics, photography, sculpture, ceramics and printmaking.
