3 Credits A lecture/activity course devoted to the study of dance in its many cultural and societal contexts. The course is designed to heighten student awareness of an appreciation of the aesthetic, socio-cultural, and vocational roles played by dancers from the art form's historical roots to contemporary trends. Reading, writing, critical analysis and some physical activity are included. Prerequisites: College level reading and writing skills are required.
