$40.00 lab fee Prerequisite: Approval of faculty. This course is designed to introduce the entry-level student to the fundamentals of diagnostic medical Sonography (DMS). The course will focus on the following topics as they relate to DMS: procedures and protocol; patient care; clerical duties; ethics; legal issues in health care; and professional (DMS communications. Additionally, this course will interlink with the other courses in the DMS curriculum during both the didactic and clinical components of the program.
