Prerequisite: RTE 1000C. The student will receive instruction on the effects of ionizing radiation on organisms with an emphasis on changes at the cellular level. Incidences of cancer induction related to exposure to ionizing radiation will also be discussed. In addition, the student will learn the procedures for radiation detection and how this relates to radiography.
