Useful as a foundation for math and math related courses, for developing quantitative job skills, or as a refresher. Students use a variety of materials and problem-solving techniques to deepen their understanding of basic arithmetic operations, fractions, decimals, percents, and measurement.They analyze problems and arrive at solutions using the techniques of mathematical reasoning.The course emphasizes mathematical discovery and addresses issues of math anxiety, test-taking difficulties, and study skills for math. This course may not be used to fulfill associate degree credit requirements; final grade of "D" will not beawarded in this course. Prereq: None
