This course will define and examine the many opportunities available to the musician in the mass media, including theme composition, post scoring, jingle production, news music, production libraries, music editing, soundtrack production, on-air and cable network yearly campaigns, EFX and usage, available orchestrational sources, client relations, timings and conversations, on-air and theatrical publishing, professional societies (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC), budgeting, and union relations and affiliations.
