Prerequisite: AUTO 101. Strongly recommended: READ 099 if required by reading placement exam or if required by reading level. Also, MATH 129 and ENGL 100 or higher. Intended for those seeking a career in the automotive service and repair industry, this NATEF certified course is one component of the T-TEN and TEC programs. The course covers essential chassis system theory, along with inspection, diagnosis, service & repair of the following undercar systems: brake, steering, suspension, alignment, wheel/tire, ride control and ABS. Course prepares students for ASE Suspension and Steering (A4) and ASE Brakes (as) certification. 108 lecture hours, 108 lab hours, 27 lab hours arranged.
