This course presents a broad introduction to the major authors, themes, and ideas in Latin American literature from pre-Colombian times to the present. Emphasis on the important literary movements, as well as the various historical, philosophical, and cultural influences that have determined and influenced the creative course of Latin American literature. 54 lecture hours.
