Prerequisite: READ 040 or ESL 054 or placement based on mulitiple assessment measures. An introduction to the fundamental techniques of college reading designed to develop student's literal and inferential comprehension while extending their critical reading/ thinking skills. This course meets the graduation reading competency requirement. 54 lecture hours. NOTE: THE UNITS EARNED FOR THIS COURSE MAY NOT BE APPLIED TOWARD THE 60 UNITS FOR GRADUATION.
