Organisms and their relationships with the environment; special attention to the concepts of species interaction, biodiversity, competition, predation, animal behavior and adaptation. Effects of population growth and pollution on the biosphere. Ponds, streams, forests, and a cemetery will be studied. Laboratory involves the use of live invertebrates. (4 cr. hrs.) (Fall). Prerequisite: One year of college biology. Lecture/laboratory. Lab fee.
