From the early limners, to the great American portrait painters, Eakins and Sargeant; from the art of slaves to the visual jazz of Jacob Lawrence; from Spanish missions to the political murals of Diego Rivera; from the majestic landscapes of Frederick Church, to the Rock and Roll of Robert Raushenberg and Andy Warhol; American Art is a wild ride.
