Utilizing an eclectic theoretical approach and synthesizing knowledge from nursing, the sciences and liberal arts, students have the opportunity to implement the nursing process for individuals and families. Nursing students construct plans of care addressing the uniqueness of the patient and family by openly communicating, critically analyzing, and subsequently implementing evidence-based plans of care which are sensitive to the spiritual, cultural, ethical, and legal factors in practice. Prerequisites: All 300-level nursing courses. 3 credits each.
