Prerequisite: MAT 100 or equivalent. This course is designed to help the student who feels uncomfortable with mathematics and its application to computation with dosage problems. Based on the comprehension of basic mathematic skills, students will become proficient in interpreting medication orders, converting between apothecary, metric, and household systems, and determining the safety of prescribed dosages for clients of all ages.
