Prerequisite: PSY 101, "C" or better in NUR 103 and BIO 226.Prerequisite or Corequisite: PSY 230 and BIO 227. A family-centered study of physiological and psycho-social needs of all age groups with predictable health care needs. A beginning relationship among the concepts of person, health, and nursing is established. The student uses critical thinking in the application of the nursing process in caring for clients with predictable health problems related to respiration, digestion, mobilization, diabetes, and Learning experiences will include observation in the Operating Room and Recovery Room, as well as client care experiences in med surg units, sub-acute rehab unit and Community Agencies. (30 hours lecture; 30 hours lab; and 93.75 hours clinical)
