2 class hours, 2 laboratory hours 3 Credits Prerequisites: BUOT 1140 or ENGL 1101, BUOT 1300 or BUOT 1120, BUOT 1550, CITP 1010 This course provides experience in medical machine transcription working with the most frequently used medical reports. Topics include proper maintenance and usage of equipment and supplies, work area management, transcription techniques, proper formats, speed and accuracy, proofreading, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
