3 class hours, 3 laboratory hours 4 Credits Prerequisite: CHEM 2211 This course is a continuation of Organic Chemistry I. Major emphasis is given to aromaticity and the structure, properties, synthesis, and reactivity of organic derivatives including alcohol, thiols, ethers, epoxides, aldehyde, ketones, carboxylic acids and its derivatives, amines, and phenols. A brief introduction to the biomolecules is also included.
