3 laboratory hours 1. 5 Credits The student will participate in an exercise program designed to improve cardiorespiratory endurance (aerobic capacity). Basic fitness concepts and other related health and fitness material will be covered in the classroom. The student will be introduced to the basic principles and mechanics for participation in fitness walking and jogging and will participate in each form of exercise for a prescribed amount of time and then choose (under the guidance of the instructor) which form of exercise in which to participate for the remainder of the semester.
