18 laboratory hours 3 Credits Prerequisite: AHSK 1101, SURG 1101 Corequisite: SURG 1102 The purpose of this 7clinical environment. It provides experience with basic skills necessary to the surgical environment and experience with basic skills necessary to the surgical technologist. Emphasis is on scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and processing of instruments and supplies; maintenance of a sterile field; basic instrumentation; application of Physics and Robotics for the Surgical Technologist; and environmental sanitation.
