Prerequisite: RDG 0800 or placement and MTH 1080 or math placement Students with little or no chemistry background prepare for college-level chemistry (CHE 1200). Topics are both descriptive and mathematical and include acids and bases, atomic structure, chemical equations, chemical language, gases, molecular structure, solution chemistry, and chemical mathematics. Students may transfer into this course from CHE 1200 during the first five weeks of the semester with the signatures of the instructor and the department chair on add/drop forms. This course will probably not transfer. Grading in this course is pass or fail.
