Prerequisite: EDU 1085 Students explore the developmentally appropriate instructional strategies necessary to implement a literary program for children. The concepts of print, word recognition comprehension development, intervention, and intrinsic motivation are examined. Students are taught the guidelines for the organization and management of a balanced reading program.
