Prerequisite: must hold a current EMT-Intermediate certification and must be affiliated with an ALS unit This course is for EMT-Intermediate personnel who are preparing to enter the Emergency Medical Services Paramedic certificate or A.A.S. program. Students participate in scenarios and simulations to demonstrate critical thinking skills and assessment and management of medical trauma patients at the EMT-intermediate level. Teamwork, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacologic interventions are assessed. Offered irregularly during the fall semester. Course fee: $20.00
