Prerequisite: ENG 1020 Students survey and analyze the literature and film of Latin American and Latino-American culture in various literary and film genres, which may include short fiction, poetry, drama, creative nonfiction, and feature documentary film. They study the political, economic, and global influences that have shaped Latin American writing and film, and consider the influence on U.S. cultures. Students participate in discussions and group activities, write analytical and critical essays, and give presentations. This course is taught in English. Offered days and evenings.
