Prerequisite: ENG 1020 Major works of world literature from approximately 1700 C.E. to the present are studied in terms of the cultures which produced them. Included may be 17th-Century Chinese fiction, works from European enlightenment and European and American Romantic Period, Urdu lyric poetry from India, works of European realism and naturalism, works of native peoples from around the world, and works from the modern world community.
