Prerequisite: EGT 1015; plus MTH 1040 or MTH 1080 The student is introduced to simple mechanical properties of materials including forging and processing, stamping, milling, bending, special materials handling, frictional effects, and thermodynamic effects. Additional topics of discussion included blueprint reading and simple mechanical design. Credit for this course may be earned through departmental examination or portfolio assessment.
