Prerequisite: GEO 1010 and GEO 1010L; or GRY 1110 and GRY 1110L; or ENV-1010; or permission of department chair Students learn about the occurrence, movement, and behavior of water in the hydrologic cycle. They study infiltration, percolation, overland and channel flow, channel processes, and the nature of hydrographs, as well as contamination and remediation of water resources. Also included are introductions to the legal environment of water resource management and principles of sampling and monitoring water in the environment. This course is web-based, allowing the students a maximum of interactions and access to resources.
