Prerequisite: none Students learn the fundamentals of DC and AC circuits, digital electronics, and interconnection technology. Through lectures and laboratory exercises, they learn the use of basic electronics test equipment and electronics safety procedures, and gain "hands-on" experience in building and testing twistedpair (10 base-T), co-axial, ribbon, and fiber optics cables used in computer networking. Students practice obtaining information from manufacturer's data sheets and catalogs for various types of networking hardware. An overview of LAN systems and LAN connectivity is included. Offered on the Leonardtown Campus Course fee: $60.00
