Prerequisite: RDG 0800 or placement and ENG 0900 or placement In this course, students investigate the experiences of women in the United States. The focus is on how women function in their various business, social, and personal roles, and how they contribute to and are influenced by their cultural context. The course covers a variety of topics such as women's health, women's history, and social policies and laws as they relate to women. In addition, students explore cultural constructions that affect women such as gender, work, and family. Works by women provide a significant means of investigation in the study.
