Prerequisite: NUR 1215/1215L, SOC 1010, PSY 1010 Students use the taxonomy of nursing practice and the nursing process to focus on key concepts related to nursing care strategies for individuals and aggregate populations within community and behavioral health settings. Topics include health promotion, disease prevention, protective strategies, and restorative and palliative care. Complex psychosocial conditions, cultural diversity, and global healthcare concerns are also emphasized. Offered days only during the fall and spring semesters.
