Prerequisite: NUR 1215/1215L, SOC 1010, PSY 1010 Students use taxonomy of nursing practice and the nursing process to explore the principles of caring for childbearing and child-rearing families. Emphasis is on health promotion, maintenance, and restoration within a foundation of familycentered care. There is a focus on specialized skills, creative problem solving, and critical thinking related to this population, while concepts from prior nursing courses are integrated. Offered days during the fall and spring semesters.
