Prerequisite: BIO 2080, BIO 2080L, and ENG 1010; plus any general education COM and MTH course; six credits from BIO-2010, BIO 2010L, PSY-1010, SOC-1010 or Arts and Humanities general education elective; plus NUR 1995 lecture must be taken in the same or a previous semester; plus must have an active Maryland LPN license This course is intended for licensed practical nurses (LPNs) who are preparing to enter the associate's degree nursing program. LPN students apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and communication skills, and explore common biopsychosocial conditions across the life span, refining and updating previous learning while providing care to patients in a variety of settings. This course is designed for the LPN who is transitioning into the associate's degree nursing program and has limited recent work experience as an LPN . A grade of "C"is required to pass the course.
