Prerequisite: ENG 0900 or placement; plus RDG 0800 or placement; plus MTH 1040 Through the use of applied nursing and mathematics content, prospective students interested in a nursing career will have the opportunity to obtain skills needed to achieve their educational goals. Topics include identification of learning style, critical thinking and problem solving, communication skills, study strategies, reading and comprehension, medical terminology, and mathematical calculations for nursing. Students experience application of these topics through nursing lectures and campus labs. Offered in the summer session.
