Prerequisite: none This course teaches the concepts and theories that prepare students to operate a public swimming pool facility. Concepts include facility design, safety, operation and water chemistry. Planning, developing, budgeting, and implementing programs are studied as they relate to the aquatic facility. Staff development, leadership, management, and evaluation are covered. Successful completion of this class meets the requirements of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for pool operators. Offered days and evening during the fall and spring semesters. Course fee: $75.00
