3 hours. Prerequisite: Exemption from or successful completion of READ 0099. This course will provide the student with a knowledge of the principles and sources of criminal law in America, the elements of proof, criminal responsibility, venues and parties to a crime. The student will be able to recognize the appropriate elements of proof required for major felony and misdemeanor crimes under the appropriate section of the Georgia Revised Statutes. Fall and Summer, odd numbered years.
