4 hours. Prerequisite: Exemption from or successful completion of READ 0099 and MATH 0099; and MATH 1101 with a grade of "C" or better. An introduction to land surveying, map preparation and map interpretation. Topics included are: surveying terminology, distance and area measurement, surveying methods and equipment use (including GPS technology), basic map drafting techniques, coordinate systems, and rectangular systems for land referencing. Fall.
