3 hours. Discussions and laboratories addressing the selection, operation, and maintenance of power equipment used in various grounds maintenance programs. This course will acquaint students with the various types of mechanized equipment used in maintenance, production, and planting operations and to teach respect for power while learning how to operate and use the equipment safely and to the best advantage. Costs analysis of equipment will be emphasized. Spring.
