4 hours. Prerequisite: NURS 2207B & 2208B with a C or better. Co-requisite NURS 2210B & 2211B. This course is a study of the nursing care of culturally diverse pediatric clients from infancy through adolescence with an emphasis upon wellness and dysfunctions. The major focus of this course is on the utilization of the nursing process to meet the wellness, physiological, and psychosocial needs of pediatric clients. Clinical experience incorporates preceptorships along with instructor guided activities. Lecture/Clinical (3-0-3). Spring.
