This course is an in-depth consideration of the origins and character of the Franciscan philosophical legacy. Beginning with an ex-amination of the influences of Augustine, Bo-naventure, and Bacon upon the Franciscan tradition, the course also includes a study of representative works by such thinkers as Oli-vi, Lully, Duns Scotus, and Ockham.
