1 credit, 1 hour Pre/Co-requisite: ENG 091 or ESL 091 when offered in English; SPA 121 when offered in Spanish This course provides instruction in the principles and skills of emergency first aid for respiratory failure and cardiac arrest in victims of all ages: Mouth-to-mouth breathing, CPR, and care for an obstructed airway. Upon satisfactory completion of this course, students will receive American Red Cross certification in basic life support.
