The student will participate in the preparation and public performance of a Broadway musical. Emphasis will be placed on individual and group learning experiences, and specific techniques required for performing in musicals, including such techniques as characteri ation, coordination of acting and body movement with singing, transition from speech to song, group movement for singing chorus, techniques of memori ation, and overall production and publicity responsibilities. Additional rehearsal hours are part of the course requirement.
