Nine hours lecture and Nine hours laboratory per week. CSU Advisory: AT 101 C or AT 110 C. This course will include operation principles, design, repair, overhaul and service procedures of automatic transmissions, 4 and 5 speed synchromesh transmissions, clutch assemblies, drive lines, final drive axles and transaxle units. Demonstrated lectures and shop laboratory work on automatic transmissions will be covered with emphasis on procedures to industry standards. Practical application will be under simulated shop conditions on "live" vehicles. Preparation of ASEcertification will be covered.
