Four hours lecture One hour problem solving One hour discussion/quiz and Two hours laboratory per week. CSU, CAN CHEM 8 Prerequisite. CHEM 101 C. This course is the second semester of a two-semester sequence (CHEM 101 C and CHEM 201 C). This course is a study of organic chemistry: structures, nomenclature, reactions, and functions of organic and biochemical compounds; and includes cell structure, metabolism, bioenergetics, biochemical genetics, and mechanisms of vitamin and enzyme action. This course is designed for the health professions. No credit if taken after CHEM 211 C.
