Two hours lecture Six hours laboratory per week. UC/CSU, CAN CHEM 12 Prerequisite: CHEM 111BC or CHEM 112 C. This is an introduction to analytical methods of chemical analysis. It includes gravimetric and volumetric methods for qualitative and quantitative determination of chemical compounds. Laboratory work emphasizes the use of modern chemical instrumentation methods and the tools for spectroscopic analysis, chromatography, potentiometric titration, NMR, electro-chemical analysis, and mass spectroscopy.
