Three hours lecture per week. UC Credit Limitation/CSU, AA GE, CSU GE, IGETC This course is an enhanced survey of modern chemical concepts for Honors students. The emphasis of this course is on contemporary readings of relevant chemistry literature. Written essays pertaining to current issues in chemistry will be paramount. The class will be conducted in seminar format and will require a significant research project that uses correct documentation skills. The course will develop increased critical thinking, reading and writing skills. CHEM 103HC will satisfy the Physical Sciences portion of the state college and university general education requirement. Duplicate credit not granted for CHEM 103 C.
