Three hours lecture Two hours laboratory per week. CSU Prerequisite: GEOL 150 C. This is the study of construction of a stratigraphic section through use of thickness measurements, use of the Brunton and alidade instruments, field sampling and note taking, and preparation of geologic samples. The use of the computer for analysis of geologic data is considered. An introduction to engineering geology, soils engineering, and geo-physical surveying for geology technicians is presented.
