Four hours lecture per week. CSU Prerequisite: MATH 110 C with a grade of "C" or better. Proof ofprerequisites is required. This course is an introduction to problem solving with informal geometry in one, two, and three dimensions. Topics include congruence, similarity, constructions, transformations, tessellations, and measurement involving both English and metric units. Emphasis will be on hands-on modeling of real-world geometric situations. This course is designed for prospective elementary school teachers. This course requires the use of a nongraphing scientific calculator.
