Three hours lecture and Three hours laboratory per week. UC Credit Limitation/CSU, CSU GE, IGETC, CAN PHYS 12 Prerequisite: MATH 150BC and PHYS 221 C, with grades of "C" orbetter. Advisory: MATH 250AC. This course is part of a three-semester program of introductory calculus based physics for students majoring in physics, chemistry, geology, engineering (all specializations), computer science, mathematics and other related fields. Topics covered are basic laws of electricity and magnetism including electrostatics, current, magnetic fields, electromagnetic induction, DC circuits, AC circuits, and electromagnetic waves.
