Three hours lecture Two hours laboratory and One hour problem solving/quiz per week. UC/CSU, CSU GE, IGETC, CAN PSY 8 Prerequisite: PSY 101 C and PSY/SOC 161 C. This course encompasses the technical aspects of designing and implementing research in the cognitive, behavioral and social sciences. Concepts of research are presented so that there is appropriate application of the scientific method to psychological and social research. The use of current technology in the acquisition, processing, and analysis of data is integrated into the theoretical and conceptual aspects of the research process. Emphasis is placed on proper communication and presentation of completed research.
