It emphasizes an integrated approach to each life phase. It also examines the influence of heredity and environment in the life span. The study also includes applicable theories of development. Courses that fulfill major requirements for an associate degree at Cypress College might not be the same as those required for completing the major at a transfer institution offering a baccalaureate degree.
