Three hours lecture per week. UC Credit Limitation/CSU, AA GE, CSU GE, IGETC This course is a study of world theater history enhanced by the reading of representative dramatic works and criticism. The honors student will investigate the history of the influence of differing cultures, traditions, and technologies on the development of theater as a social institution through the comparative study of plays, historical events, and the theatrical environment. Theater practice from prehistory to the present will be studied. Attendance at theater productions will be required. Duplicate credit not granted for THEA 102 C.
